5 Secrets to Healthy Weight Loss

Eat a Plant-Based Diet

Fruit

Eat sweet fruits raw and with other fruit or greens only. Fruit digests on it’s own and when we eat it with other vegetables, protein, and starches (especially dairy and meat), it ferments in the intestines causing gas and bloating. You can eat mono meals of one type of fruit for ultimate digestion, blend in smoothies, or have a salad of just greens with your favorite fruit. Non-sweet fruits such as squash, zucchini, and tomato can be combined in fresh salads or cooked into your favorite veggie dish. Adding a variety of fruit to your vegan diet will automatically decrease your weight and burn the fat.





Vegetables
Eat vegetables as fresh and clean as possible. You can steam, sauté, and bake. The best way to keep the nutrition intact is raw, however, some veggies just taste better with a little cooking. Also, use very little oil, and add spices to create Healthy Vegetable Recipes that taste great.

Exercise
MOVE YOUR BODY! aside from the obvious weight loss, exercise pumps your lymphatic system, which helps your body remove toxins. Exercise also improves your mood, helps you sleep better, and can improve health conditions.

Start where you are. If you are very overweight, have gained weight from injury, or totally new to exercise, you will want to start slowly. There are so many weight loss workouts to get you moving in the right direction.

Drink Water
Drinking 3 + liters of water a day will hydrate your body and give you energy. Drink one of those liters in the morning to help you wake up and jump start your system.

Get Enough Calories Daily
A vegan diet plan is a plan of abundance. You have to eat more to lose weight and feed the cells in the body. The proper amount of calories depends on your lifestyle and exercise regimen. You could be eating anywhere from 2,000 - 4,000 calories depending on the intensity of your workouts. Most people who are overweight are actually starving their bodies. Junky processed foods have very little nutritional value. Eating a fresh, clean vegan diet will improve the quality of your life.

Improve the Quality of Your Sleep
If you follow the preceding four suggestion, your sleep will naturally improve. But, to improve sleep even further make your bedroom a sanctuary for peaceful sleep.

Try the following for a good nights rest:

  • 10 minutes of gentle stretches before bed
  • Remove the television from your room.
  • Eliminate LCD lights, night lights, and light streaming in from windows
  • Have clean linens for your bed and soft comfortable fabrics
  • Make sure your sleeping temperature is constantly comfortable throughout the night
  • Try to wake up without an alarm clock
  • Get up at the same time every morning
